Live Work Protective Equipment
Insulated gloves for live-line work are gloves designed to provide electrical insulation when performing tasks on high-voltage electrical equipment. Unlike ordinary safety gloves used for general labor protection, these gloves must exhibit excellent electrical performance and superior mechanical strength, while also ensuring comfortable wearability. Made from either synthetic or natural rubber, they feature a separate-finger design.
Insulating rubber mats are primarily made from adhesive insulating materials, using non-polar rubbers with excellent insulation properties such as natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), and butyl rubber (IIR).
The insulating shielding cover is made of insulating material and serves as a protective shield for either energized or non-energized conductors. In live-working tools, the shielding cover does not provide primary insulation; instead, it is specifically designed to offer insulation shielding or isolation protection in cases where live-working personnel may briefly come into contact with energized components.
